That's it! Being underneath you won't see it unless you look for it but it's right where you would expect it to be.

No Rob - that's the fill plug where you connect a hose and pump oil in from the bottom Vacuum out form the top, fill from the bottom What? your blind too? Lets face it, all you wanted to do is impress us with your cool vacuum pump HaHaHa. Larry

Well, as long as you're getting kicked, "No results found for shees." sheesh [sheesh] –interjection (used to express exasperation). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Origin: euphemistic shortening or alter. of Jesus or sh_t] Brad (woe betide the next time I misspell)

Sorry, but it was fun. When I was in the AF, my supervisor was changing the oil on his M151 Jeep and he said " I put 3 quarts in and it's overflowing." I asked "how much drained out? He said "not much." "Let me see it" (thick, smells like sulpher) "Wrong plug. That's the front differential. You can tell since it's a little casing that is not connected to the bottom of the engine."
My buddy at work tells the story of how he told his wife to top off the radiator on her car. She called back and said she drove it out of the garage and it didn't sound good so she shut it off. She had added water to the spout where the cap has a picture of a "water can" and filled it to the top. He let the carmel mousse drain out of the crank case for a few hours, changed the oil and filter 3 times in a row, and put another 25,000 miles on that car.

Oh, for pete's sake! Hmmmm... I changed the injector pump oil again at 500 hours and used Brad's photo to drain the oil out. Guess what, mine is NOT the oil drain. When I took that bolt/plug out, diesel fuel came pouring out. Looks to me the identical plug too. Brad, have you used plug that on your photo to drain the oil? I would like to know what comes out of yours. Rob-

I find the oil gets diluted with fuel rather quicky. Every 25 hrs or so I just take the dipstick out and add oil till it runs out the overflow. i always get a lot of dirty oil out this way. I've just been putting 15W40 rotella T in mine since it's around anyway I know, I know. If Gregg were here I'd hear about the incorrect oil and improper procedure but, what the hell. It works for me. LMAO!!!

LMAO!!! Good thing Greg isn't here to correct us all. ;D I just changed Loretta's injector pump oil on her 284 Jinma right after I did mine, and there was oil in hers, no diesel as far as I could tell. The difference between what came out of my drain plug and hers was noticeable. Mine I'm sure was diesel. Not only that, when I siphoned my oil out, (which I resorted to) it was nothing like what was running out of the drain plug...it was oil. So that's why I want to know about Brad's drain experience. Ronald G here ....... LOL
Rob, I think it is a drain plug.
If it were mine I would drain, fill and see if it fills with diesel again ??

Rob,
Very interesting - I sure would have thought that was the oil drain plug. Maybe drain out all the diesel, leave the plug off, then pour in some oil and see if the oil starts coming out?

Larry Yeah, that's exactly what I'll do next time I get up there. If I get more than 10oz and it's still flowing hard, should I shut it off? lol ... I don't want to drain the fuel tank. I don't recall the fluid coming out having the viscosity of diesel like from that plug. You know I've changed the injector pump oil what ... 5 or 6 times now? Oh well, I'll find out soon enough, perhaps it got super diluted this time?

Rob, Sorry I didn't notice your request earlier. Yeah, that's the plug I use. Once mine got pretty diluted so I've been changing/checking that oil more often and it hasn't been a problem. On my Belarus it gets diluted pretty fast.
