Been hearing from China these are the very best tractors 65HP and above. My guy has sold 10 of these (100 and 120HP) to a place in South Africa and they work them very hard with outstanding results.

Someone on one of the other boards had a 60 or 70 horse with the cab and he was having trouble with it wanting to overheat when working it hard.
I don't know if it was a problem or he just needed to stop brush hogging every hour to clean the radiator.
I know when i use the 6' cutter in heavy stuff the radiator fins get clogged pretty quickly.
On the 95+ degree days I have to stop and blow it out about once an hour.

Hey Tiltbed, Welcome to CTW. I see in your signature your in North central Ohio. I was born in Cleveland and lived near Chagrin Falls Ohio (S.E. of Cleveland) for 20 years. Are you near Sandusky? I think that is exactly central and the north part of Ohio.
Maybe post some pictures of your Foton and tell us all about your tractor adventures.

I have just got a 30hp Euroleopard (Foton) in Australia. I have done about 6 hours slashing since new (5ft slasher on 5 foot grass). As one would hope after 6 hours, I have had no problems. I have found this to be a great little tractor so far. Quality appears very good. I love it and can't wait to start with some of the mods I have seen on this site. Everything works well. Came with a full parts catalogue which will come in handy if/when I need to do repairs (shows you how to put it all back together). Very good dealer who spent at least an hour going over the tractor with me on delivery (OH&S, pre-delivery check list, controls and functions etc.) After some more time I will give further thoughts. Can't wait to get back on it...I am using it on 15 acres of flat land with no trees. I will be starting to build our house in the next few months so the FEL will come in handy for the landscaping. hopefully we get some more Foton owners on site and more Foton discussions happening. Thanks for the site.

Hi Buzz and Tiltbed, Welcome here. Please go to the members introduction board to tell us about yourself. Hope you find this a great place to be.
When I bought my Kama in 2005, I tried to get the Euroleopard too. But they were not available in the USA back then. It was a very good looking and strong tractor. I'll bet you like yours a lot.
As far as overheating when brush hogging, that is very common. My radiator plugs up due to the shredded debris and dust created and I too have to hose out unplug the radiator and clean the air filter about every hour. It's just a nasty job and I get covered in debris myself. Rob-

Welcome Buzz and Tiltbed (and anyone else I may have missed) hope you enjoy the forum as much as I do. Apropos clogged radiator when brush hogging, I agree with Rob that this is common, however I have found a better way to clear it than a hosepipe which often produces papier mache! If you have a pal with a Bar or Pub scrounge a CO2 cylinder and blast the rad clean from the back with it, you can add a little tubing to aid direction too and best of all a lot of Bars or Pubs get the CO2 cylinders free from the supplying brewery so costs you nothing or the Pub!!

I have sold several of the bigger fotons and they have done very well. only a couple minor problems, and none at all on most of them. I was not as impressed with the smaller 25 hp size, it was an acquisition and not originally a foton design. (I may have imported the first of those in2003 and a couple more in 2004. They have performed OK for their owners, but not any better than a Jinma overall. I have an 824 with koyker 315 loader, with front hydaulic prep (for grapple) and Skid steer bucket mount, also hydraulic down pressure, if anyone wants one.

I saw the 60 HP one you have on ebay, dang I wish I had the money to buy it but, alas It's going to be a few years before I can get one of that size.

Have the 504 and have put about 65 hrs so far. Have a few minor electrical glitches in the way of inconsistent fuel gauge and rear lights. so far it has started at -16 with no heat and been using for snow removal etc. Had backhoe working in fall but the weather turned cold before I had a real sense of operation. Great on fuel and when the weather turns warmer will look at how to install a line or block heater etc. All in all quite happy with purchase

I went to the Tulare Ag Fair in California (since it was only 30 minutes from my property) and got a chance to see an 82 hp 4x4 Foton with a cab there. It is nice and they wanted 25 grand for it. The sales reps were Chinese and a little hard to understand, and I thought they were looking for dealers out here to sell them. They also said something about EPA, but I just could not understand everything they said. Aside from that, the cab is fully insulated, heating and air conditioned etc. Full electronics in the cab, radio etc. Also had rear remotes (3 or 4 sets), work lights, mirrors ... Very nice. Also notice the front wheel drive system stepped up to how commercial front drives are made with universal joints instead of the gear reduction drives we have on our smaller tractors. I almost bought it but I didn't have enough cash on me and they didn't take Mastercard. Rob-
