This machine was in the neighborhood trimming the power right of way. Telescoping boom with hydraulic circular saw. A friend at Duke Power said they can trim a mile a day. The crew is from Asplundh. www.asplundh.com/It makes some nice cuts. Despite how it looks if you think about it it sure beats being in the tree with a chainsaw. Let's see... a 10' pole attachment on the loader, hydraulic motor, make an arbor.... Brad

Hi Brad, Thanks for coming over! We will certainly enjoy your posts here. That saw is something else. Sure wouldn't want to get in it's way. Those tractors look like they are pretty heavy duty. Especially the boom pole one with the dozer blade on it. Get a load of those tires on it. I can't tell what kind they are except guessing they might be MF's? The blue one might be a NH? Rob-

What a beast Thanks for the pics Brad. I've seen a documentary where they were using a big hydraulic saw hanging from a chopper to trim along the high voltage lines, it was quite amazing.... The saw thing they used had a bunch of big circular saw blades mounted vertically above each other in a frame suspended below the chopper... Matthew. EDIT: Just found the chopper-saw on youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMQgt5YiD0w

Hi Brad !!!!
Oh man it sure is good to have some real brains here on the forum. ;D
Let's see... a 10' pole attachment on the loader, hydraulic motor, make an arbor.... Oh I can just smell the smoke now. Cool tractors. Hey Matthew - I remember a James Bond movie with those chopper saws. I thought, no way. But sure enough it's the real deal.
