I had a problem with my factory high pressure OUT hose on my 314 hydraulic pump. The hose had some stress cracks and was beginning to weep so I thought I would have a hose made to replace it until I could install my 320 pump. Here is the cracking. I then had to take the hoses and pump off since I would need to drill and tap out the pump body for the male 1/2” NPT to male JIC8 fitting for the new hose.

I pulled the pump apart to see how everything worked and to drill out the aluminum body. Note: Next time, I need to use an NPT reamer to make it easier to tap, leave the part in the drill press to keep it centered, chuck up the tap in the drill press and use it (by hand) to tap the part. This way, I won’t have my hole threaded out of plumb.
