Scott, The place really is taking shape now. It looks awesome!!! If you could get your brother to take a "vacation" and come over to paint your place, it would be fantastic. His cabinet paint work looks amazing. BTW, the "clay" looking cast balustrade...are they clay or are they primed for paint? Ken Yeah I was on the phone with big bro last night. But, he is too spendy for my blood... Ha Ha He won't do the fresco ceilings until I have them boxed and molded. The balusters are tericotta glazed ceramic. They will be plastered in when the stucco color coat is applied.

Ceilings for your house. Maybe I can get the painting done if you can get the structural components in place. I'm thinking if I have exact measurements, I can paint every panel and ship them to you, and you can install them. That could be doable.

Really impressed with all of your design work. Is that an actual throne in the bath? (edit - I see it's the lav.)
I overheard something on the news about firefighter deaths - didn't realize it was by you. It's a good thing you still have all of that bare dirt. Take care.

Brad Scott, I had called Rob to check on you as I was away from my internet for a while. Glad to hear you are still safe. We have other friends just north of you. Brad, The firefighters who died were from LA County Fire. The captain, Tom Hall, was a friend and neighbor of ours. The Hall family have been staples of LA County Fire for decades. His uncle is a very good friend of ours and lives next door. Tom lived down the street and we used to see him coming and going every day when he was "on-duty". God speed Tom. Scott, Time to get some of that clear foam retardant that you could spray yourself. It covers the combustibles and reacts to heat like intumescent paint (swells right up). Maybe rig up a hyd. powered spray rig for the Jinma! www.firegel.com/pages/Homewww.firetect.com/index.htmwww.fire-etc.com/thermo-gel-homeowners-kit-14839www.thermo-gel.com/?id=26www.fire-pro.org/?id=homeGood luck.

I'm no stranger to forest fires, even at 20 miles away they seem right in your back yard. I can't imagine having one 5 miles away like that let alone burning down homes all around you. The deaths of brave men and women who put their life on the line to save peoples lives homes and property are tragic. God bless them, their families and friends.
