Yes. He is well known and liked around here too. It is like one big family. Rick has done a boatload of work up here in the High Desert for years.
Re: the fires, another close friend is running a dozer crew on the Oak Glen fire.

He is a friend of mine I have known for a really long time on Race-Dezert.com... That is the other message board I hang on... Rick hooked me up with all my doors and windows.

Sorry for the month delay Guys. Been working hard at work and at house work. (And building a racecar >Needed that like a hole in my head) So the latest status is I got the 15 tons of 16seer air handlers in. And during the 4 week down time we added a bunch of details to the interior framing (arches and such) Plus we added all the security system switches (over 50) and cameras prewired (over 12) and planing all the wall and ceilings flat so we didn't have wavy drywall. This allowed me to get my mechanical, rough electric, plumbing and structural signed off by the county. I Got that done friday before last. The next day, they did the scratch coat on the stucco there was about 30 guys and they did it in ONE DAY. Then the insulators came in on last Tuesday and finished on Thursday... They used 4 big truckloads full of insulation. I had them do every single wall inside and out, garages, even the dog house under one of the stairwells got nice and cozy. I told them no space between any stud. Last Friday I had the insulation signed off. 16 drywallers came in on Saturday, Sunday and today Monday they burned through 600 4x12 sheets (Everything 5/8"). They are having another 90 delivered. Tuesday morning they will be finished hanging. I have an inspection Wed. for drywall screw scheduale. They start bullnose Wed. and plaster on Thurs. I have a new way of doing the walls (well new to me) We are mixing Topping compound, sand and latex high gloss all together and troweling the interior walls old school Spainish plaster style. NO Painting. (cept for doors and jams) Most of the baseboards are going to be Spainish tile so my baseboard painting will be reduced by half. The stucco guys are coming back wed to colorcoat the 6 Chimneys and we are starting the roof Thurs/Fri They are doing the stucco foam (eyelids over the windows) and finishing color coat in 9 days. I got all 42 interior doors (solid core, raised arch, prehung) coming end of next week. It's to the home stretch. After drywall screw inspection, no more inspections till final. Oh and they did the brown coat Sat, Sun..... These guys are awesome. They used almost 80,000 lbs of sand! Here are some updated pics. PS I'll post some pics of the bathroom in about a week.... IT's totally crazy! PSS..... I sold Fly's South Camp! I must be done by Nov 15th (Holy Shit)

Scott the place is looking great! Glad you went with USA drywall; I also used 5/8" when I finished my downstairs besides having an hour fire-resistance it also lays flatter. Will you just tape the rock or will you skim coat it? Now you said something about a race car? Pictures? -Ed

We can start the roof tomorrow, they did all the color coat texture around the chimneys and areas that would get in the way of the roof installation.
