...but then someone who is less adept at typing might leave off the "n" and then...
I like the "Lucky Dick" moniker better anyway... ;D ;D ;D
Oh, while I am on a roll, I thought the Chilean Police frowned on it's populace running around shooting defenseless llamas... ;D
Poor little things...
BTW, I like the new "toy".

I bought a Bazooka today. Savage 7mm Bolt Action. When I seen the round it takes I had to have it. ;D Should be good for taking out looter's vehicals at a half mile. Ammo at 40 bucks for a box of 20 it brings new meaning to "one shot one kill" I'll need to conserve that stuff. I never shot 2$ bills before.

Very nice Scott, I'd like to see some targets at 100 yards. The 7mm is a very accurate and popular round. Man, I can't believe the price of ammo these days! It's gone up out of sight.

Like the look of your new rifle Scott, as a matter of interest, my first shot gun was a Circa WWll Stevens and Savage bolt action .410 that held 3 in the magazine and one "up the spout", it was supposed to have been a bored out rifle originally around .303 I was told. I shot many Rabbits,Hares, Partridges and Pheasants with it in my teens, Dick

To justify the expensive rnds and having the paperwork already exposed I threw a new Stainless Ruger 10/22 on the bill too... Man they sure don't build them the same my friend...Lots of plastic.

OK cool Scott, I break out a couple of my sniper rifles and some fun ones too. What did they set you back for SS Ruger 10-22?

BTW Scott, If you think your 7mm ammo is expensive, look up what it cost for the .378 Weatherby Mag rounds. That's why I reload. Not just for cost savings though, but also to get the best accuracy and ballistics. Even two identical rifles can love different loads. I settled on 260 grain Nosler partition bullets tuned sown to 3,330fps with RL19 powder. It has the same trajectory as a WBY .300 mag, except has about double the range and knock down power. I have 100 yard targets with that rifle and that load where all 5 shots touch each other. It is an elephant gun but some African safari hunters use it for lion. I wanted to load the 270 grain Barnes X copper bullet fut it wasn't as accurate (repeatedly). Still better than factory ammo though and a lot cheaper. I had that 270 grain bullet going 3,600fps. A little too "hot" as the recoil would almost break your shoulder. I have taken a couple Elk in Montana with it. One headshot at 100 yards and another at 400 yards. I killed a Mule deer in Colorado at 660 yards ... all one shot kills. It is a bit "much" gun for deer, but perfect for bear or Elk or African big game ... all big game for that matter. My favorite all around rifle is still my trusty Weatherby 30:06. I've hunted with that all over the country and killed a lot of game with that rifle. I shoot dime size groups with Hornady Magnum ammo ... 165 grain. It just loves that ammo and shoots super good with it. That ammo gets the '06 up to just over 3,000fps. Ask Ken and his son Adam who shot it when they were up here. I also have a semi-auto Browning in '06. It was one of my camp guns. I won't share all my stuff on one page, but I will show a photo of the two Weatherbys. The top rifle is the .378 WBY Magnum and the lower on is the 30:06 Weatherby. Notice the custom machined 3 ringed scope mounts I made. The are super durable and hold their position. I used tapered Tasco World Class rings in them. The .378 blew off stock Burris scope mounts ... recoil tore them right off, so I made my own. Those are both Burris "Posi-lock" scopes. Rob-

I picked up a 16.25" long 6-32x power illuminated scope for the 7mm today. Should make 300yards seem like 10...ha ha

Rob, I would love to have a BAR... Much better than the Remington 750 30-06 I was going to buy. I got a great deal on this Savage so that is how I went.
