My son bought the Taurus Judge and we shot it here. I like it a lot but am well armed now.
I am waiting for my CC permit to come from the State Police now.

You don't need a scope on the .30 ca. carbine, it's a close range combat weapon, not a long range weapon. It's almost as agile as a pistol for close fighting.
Best damn rifle the USA ever adopted and along with a 1911 .45 they are a formidable pair.
Now, if you had the hand grenade attachment and 1000 of the necessary grenades well, that would be real nice.
I am going to buy or make an open rear sight for my carbine because the peep sight is not good for hunting or maybe even combat. All I know is it's hard as hell to sight in on a deer with the peep sight. at the next machine gun shoot at Knob Creek I will probably but a sight and modify it.
I got my CC license yesterday so now I can carry my Chief Special again. I think I will get an inside the belt holster for my 1911.

I'm getting this Pentax. www.opticsplanet.net/pentax-red-dot-sights.html You got a CC... that's cool as shit. I might try to get one in the future. I don't know. I have the wood stock/oiler/mag pouch/sling and sack for it I just decided to swap out the stock to preserve the origonal one. Plus, the effect of the cheap black stock matched the rest of my stuff. my dad bought it brand new in 1965 from a hardware store in Jacksonville AK.

With a Hubble scope eh? damn you must be able to see right up a flea's arse at 20 miles with a scope like that. Am a bit puzzled how you managed to get it down from orbit without anyone knowing, Dick

Am a bit puzzled how you managed to get it down from orbit without anyone knowing, Dick I was looking at a juniper tree almost 3/4 mile away at full power(32x) and I could see a sparrow's nest with a sparrow and the twigs in it's nest. I don't have a clue yet as to how I could send a round into it. But that remington gun dyno program says if my zero is at 100 yards I would have to aim 81" above the target at that range or set the zero at 100 yards 11.25" above the bullseye and aim directly at the long range.

I have heard that owning/using hand grenades is illegal.. Is that true, if so what's the reasoning?

But that remington gun dyno program says if my zero is at 100 yards I would have to aim 81" above the target at that range or set the zero at 100 yards 11.25" above the bullseye and aim directly at the long range. lol ... but can you see what those 2 lice on the sparrow are doing? Being a smartass, you say "Yes, of course, which one?" Then I would say, "The one with the chipped tooth". Hahaha Seriously though, as far as that program is concerned, it's all good but there is no substitute for shooting at those distances to "prove" the ballistics of the round. For example, depending on your scope mounts, how high they're mounted above the barrel and what kind of bullet (they will have different ballistic coefficients depending on weight and shape) with what kind of powder and primer etc, will in fact produce a different bullet drop at different ranges. I know you already know that but it might be fun to shoot different ammo (weights and brands) to see how they perform against each other. Like I did with the .17HMR's, I now know the actual bullet drop at each distance vs what's printed on the box. It may not mean a whole heck of a lot in everyday shooting. But when you're on a $5,000 guided wilderness hunt for trophy Elk and your only shot is 500 meters up hill with a slight wind, you would want to know exactly where to aim to kill that animal...or even if you're going to take that shot or not. I have passed up many shots knowing the limitations and also taken some outrages shots for the same reason. Bring your M-1 up and we can have dueling M-1's target practice. Mine is WWII completely stock with peep sights. If you are not 100% familiar with your rifles, I can help you dial them in so you are 100% with all of them. Bring some different ammo brands for your 7mm to see which one your rifle loves the best. Number one rule above all is consistent accuracy round to round over bullet speed, weight and stated ballistics. Marry your rifle(s) to that brand and your success will increase in folds. Rob-

Sounds good Rob... However, I own 180rnds of 7mm Rem Mag in Winchester brand. So guess how many different types of 7mm I will bring? Ha ha This is what I got. I got it for a great price. (I think) www.winchester.com/PRODUCTS/catalog/cfrdetail.aspx?symbol=X7MMR2&bn=1&type=12I paid about 22 bucks per box of 20. Rob, how many yards can we target at your land? The carbine does have a little feed issue about every 3rd rnd doesn't make it up the feed ramp. If I push the mag forward it helps. I think I may have to find a way to tighten the mag in the receiver housing or something.

When gun registration happened here in Canada one happy result (and there are not too many) is that I ended up with a number of (more than 10) free guns. People did not want to go through the hassle of getting a license and registering so since I was known as a hunter by friends and colleagues, I ended up being the recipient of a number of "closet" firearms that people wanted to get rid of before the deadline. So all I had to do was buy new gun safes to store them in. Then of course I had to go and buy ammo, dies, reloading stuff etc to properly test them and make sure that they were safe and functioned properly ;D My "free" guns ended up being somewhat expensive as a result . --- but I do have a lifetime supply of components for calibers like .303 Savage, 22 hi power, .44-40, .257 Roberts, .577/450, 7X57r and 2 1/2 inch 12 guage! Oh yeah --they work OK and a .44-40 is just about perfect on pesky rodents like beaver -- and you get 10 shots at them with a Marlin 94 So if you guys ever give up on those whiz bang magnums and need to find ammo for something that used to truly smoke when you pulled the trigger, just let me know -- I might have a box (I got a lot of free ammo too ) regards Steve
