This is a simple mod you can do to warn of low oil pressure. I use my chipper for long periods of time, which means I am not in the tractor seat to monitor the Oil Pressure or Water Temp. I found this Oil Pressure SwitchGage made by Murphy on ebay. It is an Oil pressure gage that has an adjustable switch that will close a contact when the pressure drops below a set level. It was installed in one of the spare oil pressure plugs - the TY395 engine has 4 selectable plugs to install oil pressure gages into. The gauge trip pressure was set to 35 PSI - anytime the Oil pressure drops to 35 PSI or below it will set off a Radio Shack pulsing buzzer that can be heard even with the chipper running. I also connected a 195* water temp switch to the buzzer so that if the engine overheats the buzzer will go on as well. You can click on the picture below for a full size image. Larry

That's a pretty cool add on Larry. So what do you do when that buzzer goes off? Do you rev up the engine to get more oil pressure? Rob-
