Matthew, Interesting you would extend your shift lever. I just drove Loretta's 284 and stopped with the engine running. I wanted to add some hydraulic fluid so I pushed the sliding seat forward to expose the fill plug. Guess what, the seat hit the shift lever and ALMOST knocked it into gear. The tractor was facing my brand new Silverado not 10 feet away! Shees... I'll be cutting hers off! ;D Rob-

Rob: Interesting you would extend your shift lever.I don't have a shuttle shift and the original lever was below knee height, I had to bend a fair bit to reach it, ... Now it's almost at crotch height so I only have to move my hand a couple of inches to change gears ;D Guess what, the seat hit the shift lever and ALMOST knocked it into gear. The tractor was facing my brand new Silverado not 10 feet away! That sounds like a close call I'm glad it didn't end up smashing Loretta's new tractor or your new truck, she would have killed you I've had the extension on for a year or more now and haven't found any negatives (for me), I'd probably rank it as the most helpful mod I've done to the tractor Matthew.

Flick, that is an outstanding idea I think. Since I dont have a shuttle either, this really makes sense. Painfully obvious now that I think about it.
