Chain holder and Tool boxes

Here is a simple mod to add ammo boxes as tool boxes or chain holders. I use the right one for chains and the left one for tools, etc.



What do you use to hold tools and chain?

The boxes are attached (bolted) to a home made bracket that is welded to the FEL frame. The bracket is ~ 2-1/2" wide x 1/4" thick with two short right angle tabs that stick out on the ends. Those tabs fit into a depression molded into the ammo box about mid way so the box is very well supported. The third picture shows those tabs I am referring to. It's a little hard to see because everything is black, but somewhat visible. I drew up a little rough sketch so you get a better idea what I am talking about. It basically looks like this:




Depending on how your FEL is constructed some variation of the bracket may be necessary to get it to fit. I love these boxes, they have stood up to real life use for almost three years.
