Cup Holder Install - Part Deux

Originally, I needed a (one) cupholder on my 354 for coffee/water etc. but I couldn't find what I wanted in the way of a "clean" example of a "drop-in" cupholder. Then I looked at my neighbors new 34HP Kubota L3040. It had the perfect one so I contacted a local dealer and went to see if they had one. $11 later and I was set.

I had to avoid the underneath webbing and lay out the shape via pen and tape as I didn’t have the self adhesive paper that Larry used.

These are the final shots. It is a bit further back than I would have preferred, however the webbing precluded mounting it further forward (except for maybe another 1/2") and I wanted it out of the way when getting on/off and operating the tractor.

After seeing Larry’s mod and talking to the family, it was decided that I needed two more cupholders. I told you I drink a LOT of coffee. Just ask Rob.

I had to relieve the upper-outer edges to better conform to the cowling. It isn’t perfect but it is better than if I had just slapped it in there. Talk about a messy job BTW.



These have proven to be very nice, usable cupholders that will take "all types" of beverages, even those with handles. Most Kubota dealers will have to order them but they are very well made and easy to adapt.

You know you are the pioneer of this mod. And I thank you for sharing the lead on where to find those cup holders. You know me, take a good idea and one up it. But I see you now have three cup holders and now I only have two, so I better get busy.

Man your tractor is super sano, It's so clean and shiny I had to wear my shades looking at those pictures you posted.
