These stock Kubota cup holders were installed. One in the left rear fender for the backhoe operator, the other in the left side of the cowl. There isn`t much room in the cowl of a 2003 JM284, in fact I had to put the handle point of the cupholder facing towards the fuel cap and make a small shallow notch in the outer trim ring where is passes over a small part of the hood hinge on the cowl to get the clearance.. They both came out very nice, they basically look factory installed.

Paul,
You just squeaked that cup holder in there didn't you? And yes they do look factory alright. I see you have no fear cutting huge holes in your tractor dash and fender to customize it. Nice work.

Hey Larry thanks, I made a template of the exact hole needed by popping my neighbors cupholder out of the steel rear fender of his orange tractor and tracing the opening on cardboard which I then carefully cut out. I also covered the area to be cut with blue painters masking tape, this was easy to trace a good cut out line on and kept kept me from doing any damage to the finish. The clearances were tight though, especially for the one in the dash cowl, they are a very useful addition to any tractor.
Paul.

That's exactly what Loretta needs on her tractor! Plus a bunch of other mods too, of course. But when I get on the 284. the thing I miss most is where to put my cup of Java! Rob-
