I have the folding ROPS but because of my backhoe I have to remove the canopy to get the tractor in the garage. Bolting and unbolting was not an option so I started using pins and clips to fasten it. This is much faster to get on and off and has been working out well for a couple of years now. I don`t always want the canopy on, but in the hot summer sun it is a good thing to have. Paul

Hey Paul,
Thats cool I've been wanting to get another canopy to put on the back hoe for these hot days. Just turn it around and mount it on the hoe itself. What do you think?

Great idea Paul- I have the same problem can't get 284 in the garage with the ROPs up so I've got my top in the shed. When I buildt the garage I put the header in at ceiling height so I could go to 8' doors but it would still be a close fit and the new garage doors I want are really expensive. -Ed

Just kidding around Scott. Some of those links had reasonably priced umbrellas that with the right clamp mount (I am thinking about a cast aluminum rack/tubing clamp like they sell at Industrial Metals in Burbank), this could work out well for the backhoe. IMS SPEEDRAIL FITTINGS It could clamp to the umbrella pole and then to the ROPS.
