I heard that too - nothing like lowering expectations right out of the gate.
All Americans will get shoved down their throat what the blind lemming electorate has voted for - socialism in the form of huge give aways, redistribution of wealth, soaring taxes, across the board skyrocketing energy prices, no production of new energy or wealth - only conservation, personal sacrifice and cutting back, unemployment, inflation, surrendering the war against terrorism, under funded and demoralized military, weak national security policy, pacifism, unconditional negotiation with our enemies, relying on the UN to solve global disputes and this is just the tip of the iceberg. Does not anyone remember Jimmy Carter? Never have so many been so fooled into believing and buying into Obama's unrealistic pie in the sky give aways without consequence promises. In short, if you do not produce you will be given a hand out instead of a hand up. No more motivation to produce more so you can keep and enjoy more of what you produce. After you reach a certain level of sustenance, the government will take the rest away for themselves or to give to someone less fortunate - that is what Barack and the democrats really stand for, I do not understand how so many believe in that communistic, Marxist and socialistic philosophy - it's been tried many times throughout history and has failed every time it was tried.
With that, I say if you cant beat 'em, join 'em..... Now were did I put that brown shoe polish.
We productive Americans are so screwed, I guess it cant be all that bad, maybe under the new administration we will qualify as the down trodden minority and qualify for some sort of assistance or at the very least maybe 12 sessions of free therapy?
Be warned, behind the scenes Democrats are now working on a plan to end the tax free contributions to 401K's, confiscate what's left in your 401K and put it into 3% govt bonds (to protect you) then pay you in pre determined amounts at a time they feel will suite your needs.
Don't forget the "fairness doctrine" introduced by democrats to silence the opposition of conservative talk radio. "Fairness Doctrine" = government monitored and controlled media. It will be re-introduced, mark my words.
The best thing to have or work toward right now are a defensible home in a rural area, plenty of seeds for crops, some cows, pigs, goats, chickens, a horse or two, plenty of guns and ammo and a means of producing Bio diesel to keep your tractor running!
If it all goes as south as my dire predictions, we have the chance to start taking back the country in two years during mid term elections and then again in 4 years with new leadership. Very similar to what happened during the disastrous Jimmy Carter presidential term.
Let there be no doubt the election of Barak Obama's to be next president of the United States is an historic chapter in American history. It IS within his power to succeed or fail and we must give him the chance and room to do so. But based on his disgraceful associations, short and dismal track record, extreme liberal views, my prediction is he and his party will eventually disgrace and shame this country and all who voted for him. Sooner or later Americans will wake up (again) and return to conservative leaders and values.
