Saw that History Channel segment on distilling spirits and poked around the Net and fhound this site, It looks like it might be worth a try sometime this summer.

03 JM 284,JM FEL+Brand valve+grapple Mazzotti 200 3pt.Backhoe.Many mods done, fel,chain box,tool box,cupholders,lights,seat,. Also have a pair of Case 470`s, one a 1971 the other a 1972. Both rescued from a storage yard at Laguardia Airport literally 24hrs from the scrappers torch. I got them for the asking because the man in charge liked old machinery and the fact I would take them to the mtns.

I made a stove top still once out of an old pressure cooker. I attached the outlet copper tubing to the old hole for the weight and blocked the safety closed (no need for it without a weight). I ran the condensating coil into the kitchen sink filled with cold water. Distilled some apple cider I had let go hard. Tasted nasty but ran the lawn mower real good. I got about a pint per gallon.
