Paul, Nice pictures. It's great the boys could visit and play with your toys. ;D Those are some manly logs. I hope I am in that good of shape when I'm 83.

Heck, I wish I was in as good a shape as your Dad is now. Paul that was really nice of you to let them play with your log splitter like that. Hope they finished splitting every log in sight.
The Brotherinlaw is a retired Jersey City fireman, and he is a fire bug, we had an outdoor fire going for three days, he even cooked on it. LOL If he's anything like me it makes me wonder if he started half the fires he was called upon to put out!
Looks like a great time was had by all. Hey Paul what's that red white and blue inflated looking thing in the background near the front of your garage? Colonel Sanders from KFC ? Uncle Sam?

Thanks Brad and Larry, everyone had a great three days, perfect weather all weekend long. I`m like you Larry, I wish I was in the shape my Dad is in now. He has 30yrs on me and will work on anything as long as I ever want too, no matter what the project involved. One of the slabs of wood processed was that piece of 36in maple that my FEL could barely get off the ground, and none too soon. Very large maple logs start to rot in the center if left un-split too long. I kept ferrying wood to them with the grapple as long as they could stand it, they split quite a pile. The Brotherinlaw is a true fire bug, he can stand by a fire for hours, he is a decorated fireman, pulled a lot of folks out of virtual hells on earth. He was also his departments Boxing champ for several years running, usually by a KO in the first or second rounds. I once asked him to punch me in the arm like a boxer is trained to punch things and so he did.It was one of the worst mistakes of my life, I can still feel the pain in my minds eye. My great grandfather lived to 97 and was active under his own power till his last day. He died happily in the middle of his noon time meal telling a story about the "Old Days", never really got sick with anything. That inflatable is Uncle Sam, another of the brides collection, she had it up for Memorial Day and left it up for the families visit.
