First start: We picked up the tractor at 04:00 in the morning. Luckily, we live in the land of the midnight sun, this time of the year. Supplied documentation with the tractor: Supplied toolbox with the tractor: Quite extensive and good quality tools are supplied. Extra filters for the fuel and oil, and two "filters" that I don't know what they are for.

Congratulations on your fine looking new tractor. I see it has a self leveling bucket built into the Front end loader, very nice indeed! It also looks like it's "cab ready" should you want to add one later on. Chinese tractors sure have come a long way over the years, yours looks well refined. Those extra "filters" - are those the ones in the plastic bags? I wonder if they are breather element filters for the crank case, hydraulic reservoir or the likes. Have you checked all the fluids? what do they look like? By looks of it, it came fully assembled. Did you drive it off that train in the background?
Enjoy your new machine and please post more pictures of it doing some work once you get it home.

I like the look of your Tractor and wish you years of trouble free work/fun with it. Interesting that the documents come either in Chinese or English. I know a lot of Swedes speak very good English but a lot don't also and virtually all the Chinese stuff we get here in Chile has a Spanish translation, must be favoritism!! The tools and such are much more comprehensive than I got with my Jinma in 2006, but I rather think the dealer kept most of the stuff to sell again, any way," Lycka till" (good luck) !!

Yes, the front loader is very capable, however we picked a rather hefty (some say a too big bucket) for the snow moving in the winter. But that lift works really nice with the dedicated joystick. Interestingly, we have to lock one of the hydraul valves open, the leftmost one near your left hip, when in the drivers seat, in order to run the front loader. Your're probably correct about those "breather element filters" in the plastic bags. We also like the separate gearstick for changing forward/reverse direction of moving.

Good looking tractor. I think you will be very pleased. Yes, but we had an initial hickup with the fuel pump, at least that is our diagnosis.

I think the swedish distributor is doing a good job and shows a good commitment in supporting their customers. If spanish is your language of preference, please also have a look at the Foton Spanish website, www.fotoneuropa.com/ficha404.html

The tractor had 3.0 hours on the meter, when it came off the delivery truck. We had to provide a delivery place with a ramp, so the closest was at the railstation 20 km away from our village. We started the motor, but it did only run very irregularly at 400 rpm and did not respond to the gas lever at all. However, after the fourth or fifth starting trial, the engine finally did run as expected. Before that, we had open a lid at the fuel pump, and also manually pumped there. We decided to start our drive home finally. We fueled up at the gas station and without problems drove the tractor home. We experienced several similar starting problems the first and the second day with the tractor, but only one starting anomaly on the third day. The tractor has now 15 hours of driving, and the fuel tank is about half. We've been using the tractor off road to pick upp wind fallen trees, as well as on rainy dirt roads, so the tractor already has seen some valuable use. See the image here: We think the starting problems can be due to the storage and transport and maybe that caused some air bubbles in the fuel system. It seems the tractor now is gradually leaving those fuel problems behind, and acting more reliable to our satisfaction. We've asked about the delivery service and got the information that all oil in the tractor are replaced with Agrol Turbo Kombi 10W-30. I think that's an UTTO (Universal Tractor Transmission Oil) type and here are some cross reference links to other brands of similar oil products. (Even the diesel was replaced with a less smoke prone one). svenskafoder.temp.box.se/?p=2973&m=1709[glow=red,2,300]Cross Reference List of Oil & Grease[/glow]Turbo Kombi kan användas som enda olja i traktorer av äldre modell, till och med åttiotalet. Till lite nyare traktorer kan Turbo Kombi även användas som transmissions- och hydraulolja, men inte som motorolja. This sentence in swedish tells that on a tractor of an older type up to 1989 model year, one oil type can be used everywhere in the tractor. However for newer tractors, that oil type cannot be used in the engine, but still be used for transmission and hydraulics. Here's an Education site in Swedish on oil products with a test included. Do your exam here with geting a certificate of your knowledge in tribology. Lantmännen Energi | Interaktiv utbildning ext.agrol.se/utbildning/?cat=ove

Thanks for the link Traktorz, I will look at it with interest. No, English is my language of preference followed by French. After nearly six years living here I still struggle with Spanish and so many Beautiful Latinas and so much I want to say ............................! I remember on my fathers farm in the UK back in the '60s we could use one lubricant for virtually all applications (in our case Esso Pratt's Tractolube universal) on the Fordson, International, Massey Ferguson and David Brown but NOT on the Cat D4. I understand things are rather different now as things become more and more highly stressed and new materials are used. Stay lucky Dick
