Well, after well over 1000 hrs and some serious abuse it looks like i will have to split my tractor this spring.
At first i thought it was the throw out bearing but after looking at it operating it has to be coming from the clutch plate or pressure plate.
Something, for lack of a better term, is growling right as the clutch starts to spin. Smooth as silk depressed or fully engaged. I figure the disk has broken a spring or two or, all of them.
I hope it holds together long enough to finish feeding my round bales to the horses this winter.

update, while replacing my engine I found the source of my transmission/clutch noise. turns out there is a bushing/sleeve that goes over the PTO spline and up inside the Main shaft. It had worked out and was inside the clutch pack.
