I may have found a broken down used 05 tractor for parts. Have not seen it yet. Broken rear axel and about the same size as my 40hp & it has a brush hog on it. Was or is headed for the scrap yard, I am trying to head it off if I can work that out. Any how it has the iron wheel weights for the rear wheels on it & the front weight also. Any idea what the weights are worth used? This maybe not work out but I will have pictures coming soon.
Hope your all having a good day.

Franky II!
Looks like lots of parts you might be able to use. Man it looks like it was rode hard. Is the missing wheel/weights included? What does that axle need, a bearing and seal or is there more damage?

Rode hard alright, and put away wet, man that poor thing was abused big time. I got no problem someone using a machine to it's capabilities but it ticks me off to see out and out abuse.....Mike

That`s a nice find especially if you can get it for the scrap metal price. Spare parts are always nice, but a second working tractor is an even nicer option, either way it`s a win.

I believe the price for scrap steel/iron is around 15 cents a pound. If it was me I`d start at about $100 with a broad smile and see what the counter offer is. It`s probably worth at least $300-$500 as it sits, I`ve seen worse looking tractors sell for $500+ on Ebay, the brush hog alone is worth at least $100 or more if serviceable.

I don't understand the way they have the weight in the book for the tractor. Tommy if your out there what does the foton 404 tractor weigh with or without the weights? Will have to see if they will sell it or have to go thru the scrap yard & see if there are any salvageable parts the see what I can get. Not sure if they know how much oil in one of those, could be messy. Just have to wait & see.

The FT404 complete is around 4500 lbs, that tractor has been rode hard and put up wet,but I see some useable parts still. If you can get it for a little bit of nothing do it,otherwise just let it go,it will cost a little time and money to get it. Tommy Affordable Tractor Sales www.affordabletractorsalesco.com

Thanks for the info. Still waiting to hear from them. Not sure what to expect. I did pass on that there is almost 14 to 15 gallons of oil in it, so there could be a mess if they just take a torch it. I would really like to get the parts but just have to wait & see.

Heard from the brother that they pushed it into a pile with other scrap metal.
So at this point it is out of my reach.
