Nice looking car, Paul! 1948 was a terrific year for cars and people, well for me anyway. That Dodge would, however, look much nicer parked in MY driveway. The car and I could celebrate our birthday together. ;D ;D ;D

Thanks Rich, I got this coupe 25+yrs ago from the daughter of a dead guy who lived for 48 Dodges, he apparently wanted this car to run forever and bought NOS parts like crazy. Some examples, 8 mufflers, 5 sets of brakes, 3 master cylinders, 5 generators, starter, radiator, oil pump, complete heater assembly,3 rear end centers, axles ,coil springs, complete front end, transmission, new valves, rings, bearings, etc. It was a room full of boxed and wrapped parts and the daughter thanked me no end for taking it all away with the car.

Why would you lock up such a nice car for all those years?

Howdy Paul,
That's one sweet looking automobile. I find it amazing you were able to kept that beauty garaged for all those years. Even more amazing it fired up with just a little coaxing. I'm sure you'll enjoy taking it on Sunday joy rides around the the neighborhood, no doubt you'll attract allot of attention!
Enjoy,
Larry

Paul,
incredible! Made my day just seeing that 48' Dodge. All my dad ever bought were Dodges. You continue to amaze me with the deals you find. I would definitely have that prize back inside a garage. Neighbor in old development had a brand new Corvette that he would only drive during the summer. He didn't have a garage and the second winter the squirrels got to it. Insurance covered it, but it was a heart breaker as to what the squirrels did to the car. -Ed

It's always good to see something older than I am that still starts and runs and has available spare parts!!! Was always a Chevy guy in my youth but that is one fine looking ride Steve

Thanks guys, I was able to get it into the garage for the time being, but tomorrow I break ground on a 30ftx30ftx13.5ft wall height steel I Beam building with a 12ftx12ft door. I won`t be having to fold the ROPS down anymore on the tractor soon. I would also like to put in a two post car/truck hoist, I see them now for less than 2k delivered on Ebay and a little over 2k on Northern Tool, of course all made in china. Paul
