Hope everyone made it thru without any problems. The better half was worried about water, but when I built the house I did everything possible to keep the water out. Here is a video of a stream by the Palisades Parkway up the road from my house. Lots of rain and after the storm strong gusts of wind. www.youtube.com/watch?v=phjK0IS8lXo

Glad you didn't have any issues with Irene, Red. I had a bit of flooding here when Irene went through, but I expected that - nature of the beast.

We lost more than a dozen trees around the house, several snapped midway down and have left "Widow Makers" hanging high above in neighboring trees. We lost power for 24hrs but our Chinese diesel generator worked like a Champ keeping our house alive. One Maple came down across the driveway and the tractor grapple made quick work of cleaning it up. The only property damage was to a PVC Arbor behind the house that took a hit from a large falling limb and now has some broken and splintered parts.

Thanks Guys! No problems here but it is incredible the amount of damage done. My better half is from upstate and the flooding up there is unreal! Just the week before we went to Vermont (Killington) and many places we visited got washed away! There was there really awesome place called Simon Pearce, it's a glass blowing factory/showroom that generates it's power from the river going by. At least a hundred year old building that I am not sure if it is still standing. Great to see American Craftsmen at work. Definitely couldn't afford their work.
