Hi Guys, 2006 Jinma 354 with Y485. I left the tractor parked with the nose down hill and leaning slightly to the left when we were at the property last week. When I came out the next morning there was an oil spot on the ground. Oil was leaking out of the injector pump overflow / breather tube. Several ounces of oil had come out overnight. I refilled it and had no problems but this could have caused a major problem if I hadn't seen the oil on the ground. Since then I have noticed that oil leaks out when its parked down hill. I don't know if this is normal or---. But its something you might want to keep in mind and an eye on. It took about 4 ounces of oil to get it back up to normal. Since the pump only holds eight or ten ounces you can see why this is bad news. Missed that bullet Kidd

Missed that bullet Kidd I have not had the Y485 in my hands yet as you know. But, from what pictures I have seen from the design of the 485 injection pump that little nipple that the oil runs out of so the sump finds full / level should have a rubber cap slipped over the out side of it so that does / will not happen. I would have thought it would have came with one ?? maybe got lost when they changed the oil ?? Ronald Ranch Hand Supply You can use your everyday vacuum cap ..... maybe 5/16 ??

Yep, sounds the Y-385 injector oil level port. once it is filled and the level established with that overflow, the port should be capped. This also keeps dirt out.

Thanks for the replies Ronald & Ron. I didn't know it should have a cover on it. I can make one like Ronald suggested. KIDD

As I'm always on the side of hill, I have to watch the level of the injector pump constantly, I never thought to cap it, I will now, though.
