Hi,
I removed & disconnected the FEL. Then topped up the Hyd / trans fluid, as I had a leaking FEL cylinder.
Soon after that (5 minutes) the engine lacked power & stalled whilst disc ploughing. Also a bit of metallic grinding sound.
The hydraulic motor showed & I confirmed it was overheating (surface oil was smoking).
I then found the quick connect sleeve connecting to the centre of the pump (inlet I assume) had come loose and the coupling was not permitting oil flow.
Any ideas of:
- the problem;
- the cause;
- the likely fix
- if the pump is it likely to be repairable with a kit or should I go with a new unit? (I am mechanically minded with sufficient tools & equipment).
- If a new pump is recommended shoulkd I go with like for like, or a different unit (that fits)?
Anything else I should check / fix / service/ replace?
A pump exploded diagram & service manual would be great, if you can help.
