When Loretta bought her Jinma 284, she also got a 5' Landscape rake as part of the package. She actually got a bunch of implements but hasn't had the time to post about them, let alone put them together yet. But last weekend she got her landscape rake assembled. There were no instructions and all she had to go by was the photo off the Internet which Scott provided. It is the first photo. She did it all by herself and it was very interesting to see how she approached it. I was pretty impressed because she never said a word, just started going after it. I snapped these shots while she was working. The only thing I did was help her with some of the heavier pieces of steel. I helped her get the boom onto the rear tine holder and then put them up on big pieces of wood so she could start the assembly. It is fairly heavy. Rob-

It was pretty cool watching her. She used several clamps to get things in the right place so she could bolt them together. The bolts that hold on the tines and cover plates were barely long enough to get started. When she got all done, I was pretty amazed at what she could do! She got everything right without instructions. When she got done, I went over the nuts and bolts to torque them a little but that was all. Even the rake stand. She even hooked it up herself and started dragging it all over the meadow to smooth out the tire tracks from where some bum had made a bunch of ruts when he got his Silverado stuck in there. Loretta likes her rake better than her drag harrow.

Well done Lorretta, you have my profound admiration , I should have ended up with a handful of nuts and bolts not knowing where they went , but not you!! Respect!!

I can't believe Rob took that picture of me sorting out the bolts and nuts! He was laughing at me while I was doing it, but I think it paid off. I could look at them and see that there were 2 of something, so they had to go on a place that there were only 2 of. Not quite scientific, but it worked.

Very logical. My compliments to you.

Loretta,
Great job getting your landscape rake together without the instructions. Those instructions, if you had them would have slowed you down anyway, instructions are overrated!
How does it work?
