I made a level indicator for the PHD. Pretty simple - some 1" x 1/8" flat bar pieces with a pivot point at the top. I'll paint the edges facing the driver white to make the position more visible. I also added the horizontal tab at the same level as the base to provide a better level reference from the seat. After about 275 posts, I can say the level was very useful. Even when I had a helper to eyeball from the side they used the level. Without a helper I can start a shallow hole with the clamshell digger to guide the bit to the spot and then do the rest from the seat. It did get bent up a couple of times but all I had to do was bend it back in place. The Belarus 250AS was also a nice asset for post holes. The downforce really helped last summer when it was dry. I did wear out the auger teeth and made some new ones from a piece of worn out scrape blade edge with one good bevel. Brad

Brad, Clever and simple level indicator design. Don't think I've seen anything like it. It did get bent up a couple of times How in the heck did you manage that? Back to the drawing board with a break away feature? You really wore down the pilot (cork screw bit?) I see you went out there in the dark and cold snow to take those pic's for us. Man what you wont do. Larry
