Hey guys, Put a pressure Gauge onto the Back Hoe, needed an adapter to get the 18.5 metric to JIC fittings. Mount spot for the Gauge. Put in new fitting for the JIC hoses, boy was it a tight fit, had to take off the adjacent hoses and loosen the housing from the valves to get room to tighten the fitting. Then put it all back together. Haven't had a chance to use the Back Hoe after I got it together, but I'm looking forward to it. The only reason I went to the trouble of putting in the gauge, was to make sure that I was getting the proper pressure out of the system. While digging through easy ground, everything is good " jeez, my Back Hoe can eat anything!". Once you start digging through Decomposed Granite or digging around a root ball, one begins to suspect the pump has gone south " this thing won't cut warm butter, what's wrong with this gizmo?". So I wanted an easy way to check my subjective views on how well the hoe is operating. Might be a bit of overkill, but now I can objectively measure that the ground is "hecka hard" not my Hoe pump going out.

Tim,
Nice addition to the BH, I see you cut the + out of the valve handle plates. I know those hoes can move in all directions at once. I wonder what they were thinking when they made those valve handle plates like they did? You must be a real pro using the hoe now that you have some stick time on it. Are you still storing it all in your 40' container?
