How do I move a picture from my computer to become my avatar?
Thank you, RonJ

Ron, First you have to load up a photo you want to your Photobucket account. I think you've already seen the section which tells you how to do that, but here is that thread: Uploading PhotosOnce you've got your acceptable photo on Photobucket, go to your profile and click on "Modify Profile" where you can insert that photo from Photobucket. Below that box is where you can choose the size and shape of the avatar by making it narrower or fatter, shorter or taller until it looks proportional. You may not need to change it at all if it loads up alright. Rob-

Rob, What am I taking from Photobucket to paste into the Avatar field in my profile. I tried several different selections and pastes and then hit the Return key. Nothing happened. RonJ

Ron, Are you using the full URL and not the thumbnail? Have you made your avatar 100x100 pixels max in the boxes below? After trying that, post the photo here so we can see what you are putting into the avatar box. Rob-

Ok just testing if I can get my avatar to work, and also show photos in the message; Trying the Html code: <a href="http://s489.photobucket.com/albums/rr251/atw97/?action=view¤t=Tractoravatar.gif" target="_blank"><img src="http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr251/atw97/Tractoravatar.gif" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> Trying the html code with a different pic: <a href="http://s489.photobucket.com/albums/rr251/atw97/?action=view¤t=Loadingshingles.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr251/atw97/Loadingshingles.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> Trying the image code: Aubrey

Ok the image code is the only one that works for me. Couldn't put my own avatar in either. Must be too sober for this Direct link again: i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr251/atw97/DSCF1350.jpgHtml again: <a href="http://s489.photobucket.com/albums/rr251/atw97/?action=view¤t=DSCF1407.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr251/atw97/DSCF1407.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> Image code: Guess I'll give up on the avatar, but I do need to resize the pics Aubrey

Beer...or other fermented media, is often required as an aid for ideas to coalesce and then re-form into something that somewhat makes sense thereby enabling the ideologist to further refine his/her (equal opportunity here folks) ideas.
Barkeep, I'll have another!!!

Here in South Carolina, if I drive a couple of miles I can get a wonderful view of the swamp! One reason I like Oklahoma better. If it's a little confusing, we own two places. One here in SC and the farm in OK. Our son takes care of the place in OK when were not there. Hope to move there permanently within the next year. PJ
