One of the things I don't think I've mentioned .. (been so long, can't remember).. Got rid of Ol' Red (in my avatar) a while ago and got the truck I always wanted... actually, this is what I wanted when I bought the red one. '99 Dodge 2500 Quad cab Long box 4x4 5.9L Cummins 24valve turbo diesel NV4500 5spd 8800# package 43,000 miles on it when I bought it (almost broken in ) Still had the "Dealer must remove" plastic covering the carpet when I brought it home. (the day I bought it) I don't believe they offered a single rear wheel 3500 in '99.. but the 2500 with 8800# pkg is just that... a non-dually 3500. Anyway... Been gettin' my jollies from it all year. Few mods and additions here and there to make it "mine"... Polished stainless stepbars Dual 5" stacks Cross-bed toolbox (from other truck) Removed factory stereo, located a smaller HDradio unit under the dash where the (useless) "pocket" used to be. Made a plate/bracket and mounted gauges in the factory stereo location. (ISSPro fuel-pres, boost-pres, pyrometer) Quadzilla Adrenaline (controller under gauges) ..wow, what a difference that unit makes. 25,000# gooseneck hitch in the bed. Don't have a gooseneck trailer at the moment so have the hitch in the basement, but the rails and such are all still there and it just pins in. Anyway, she's a ball o' fun to drive. ..ain't no sneakin' in the driveway with 'er though. ;D

Looks awesome Jake. Iove the Cummins engine in our motorhome. It is a 12 valver but is a big block C8.3 engine with the MD3060 Allison 6 speed. Have you performed the "killer dowel pin" safety procedure on your ISB yet? They don't all have the problem but if you take care of it JIC, it never will have the problem...which generally makes you get a new engine. Re: sneekin' in the driveway, you have to drive real fast then shut off the ign. one click and "coast" in. ;D BTW, do the stacks make it sould more like a class 8 diesel now? Ken

re: KDP... Asked about that when I bought it, "Oh, that's been taken care of." Still have to check for myself. Thanks for the reminder. re: stacks/sound... Actually didn't change the sound much.. just where it comes from. Wife actually likes it better this way, compared to getting deafened in the summer (windows down) by the stock passenger-side exit. I'm sure low-slung vehicles to the right of me prefer it this way too. also forgot to mention.. replaced the notoriously unreliable stock lift pump with a Walbro 392 setup. Stock was already questionable with 5psi idle and could pull down to 0psi after 2 seconds of WOT. Walbro setup is holding 20-21 @ idle / 15-18 @ WOT. ;D KDP... gotta check.. almost forgot about that.

Nice truck Jake, I like all the upgrades you made to it. Your Quadzilla package, is that the high performance chip package? One that increases horsepower and torque? I've been thinking about getting one (a performance chip or whatever Ken told me about) for my truck but haven't had the balls to do it yet. I only have 20,000 miles on it and it's still under warranty. Anyway, it's my first diesel truck and I love it too.
I saw a really cool sticker on a dodge like yours in town last week... "Real Trucks Don't Have Spark Plugs"

Rob, Ya... here's the link to Quad's page about it.They're startin' to get 'em out for other makes (Chevy & Ford) now too. Makes an insane difference, lemme tell ya. re: stickers... oh ya... I've seen so many funny ones, I wouldn't have room for all the ones I liked. ;D

keep remembering mods I've done to it... Replaced the stock airbox & filter with a BHAF (big honkin' air filter).. and made myself a homemade heat shield for it since it sits fairly close to the turbo... out of a stainless 22 qt. stock pot. ;D also, got my onboard air system started... got the alternator pully, york compressor bracket, tensioner, and belt installed... along with my York A/C compressor from a mid-80's Volvo (junkyard). By the by... "SuperClean" works wonders on caked on grease.. but also likes eating aluminum too, so be careful using it with soft metals. Have tanks.. have yet to make brackets and mount 'em to the frame though. again... I'll see if I have any pics when I get home.
