One thing I wanted to make sure of was no significant loss of cylinder cycle times with larger OD cylinders. Which is the main reason I upgraded my stock 314 (14 ml/rev) pump to a 320 (20 ml / rev) pump which is documented here - CLICK HEREAnd of course a video showing the cycle times of lift / lower, curl and dump: I'm very satisfied with how all this came together and worked out this well at such a reasonable price. I still need more field testing but am confident there will be a remarkable improvement in lifting and breakout force. Larry

Hi Larry, Super nice job you did there buddy! Your machining skills are top notch man. Like you, I don't mind having to do some machining or adding zerks if the cylinders are the right price. Sometimes you can customize to make it even better or easier to get to. Most of that stuff is generic fitting. But with your experience and tractor savvy knowledge, you can make components to fit your personal needs and locate them at the best places for future maintenance. In that video, you have a full bucket. Those new cylinders made short work of lifting it with ease. lol ... for a moment I thought you were going to pick up that side of the house !!! Rob-

LOL Thanks Rob, Does anyone need the cylinders that I removed? Perhaps someone is planning on making a hydraulic gizmo and needs a matched set of high quality good working cylinders? Two of the cylinders are 29-1/2" retracted with a 22" stroke, the other two are 30" retracted with a 16" stroke. They have #6 JIC male fittings, grease fittings and 1" ID cross tubes on the rod and base ends. The cylinder ID is 1.75" with a 1" diameter rod. Koyker sells them for over $250 each! I have them listed on Craig's list and TBN for 75 each. I'd be willing to let them go to any member of this forum for $60 each or trade for something. Maybe one of the dealers could order a Koyker FEL without the cylinders for cost savings, then put these cylinders on? If no takers, I'm going to have to figure out some project for them as I hate to see them just sit there in my shop. Maybe I could use two of them to operate a gate for my dump trailer? I still have to make a tail gate for that. Larry

Very nice Larry. Your Popeye configuration should give you about the same breakout as our 195 loaders. Let's see..what could Larry use the cylinders for? ...Hydraulic scrape blade ...has it...dump trailer....has it...backhoe...has it....grapple loader for the trailer? Maybe but the backhoe has a thumb. Hydraulic scrape pan earthmover? That pond will never fill up Oh well, the entertainment value of watching Rob make something cool with them will be worth quite a bit. ;D
