Well after seeing some tractors transmissions brake in half I wanted see if there was anything I could do to improve my system. although I my tractor came with rear axle supports I felt something was missing. Here what I came up with. first off looking at the support. as you can see the engine mount and the FEL support are not attached, and I feel that could be a weak point? I took a 12" piece of Chinese angle iron from the crate and cut 4" off and the remainder 8" I use for the rest of the part after welding the two parts together I did a test fit mark my holes and drilled them , as you can see it's Chinese part all the way, I don't what cheep American stuff on my tractor.. after the test fit and drilling I welded nuts on the back piece that goes behind the FEL support., and painted it. after painting and installing, you will all so notice that I removed the bolt to he FEL support and drilled safety wire hole in them to keep them from coming loose.. we'll see how that works now I got to do the other side.. under the starter It may not look like a lot, but you be surprised what a little bit here and there can do.. A tri pod is a lot better than a two pod..

No doubt your add-on will also distribute forces over a wider area avoiding the potential of you suddenly owning "two" tractors. I see you recycled metal from the crate to make this. Nice going. Breath carefully when welding or grinding metal with that red paint, it's full of lead Please feel free to share all your mods, additions or whatever you like. Larry

There is never too much bracing! I agree with you Turbo, if it looks questionable for strength, add more bracing. It's nice that you have the knowledge and tools to do that, some folks don't. PJ
