It`s so funny that you say that Rich because my Wife asked me just yesterday if I was gonna put up any old pinup pictures on the walls, she too feels they would be appropriate in there, she is a good woman. Several of her friends were impressed that she was getting Perelli tires, she asked me what was the big deal since to her tires are tires. The easiest way I could explain it was to say it was like getting a Gucci Bag, that she understood. Paul

It all turned out great. That lift is sweet - how does she like it now?
What kind of tire changer are you using? I have a cheap manual one that works surprisingly good but I need to be pretty careful not to ding the rims. I don't have a good balancer. I mainly just do trailer tires & spares. I'm a firm believer in dynamic balancing for car tires, especially the fronts.

Thanks Brad, the lift has worked out well, the Bride has accepted it as a valued member of the family. I take my wheel mounting work to a buddies small two bay auto repair garage 2 miles away, he has the right equipment and does custom rim mounting all the time. I agree that high speed balancing is the only way to go, I`ve priced the necessary equipment but it is cost prohibitive, maybe some day I`ll get lucky at an equipment auction. Those Pirelli tires are all they promised to be, probably the best tires I have ever driven on in the rain, and boy have we ever had rain here in PA. Most of the standing rain records have already been broken and there are three more months to go.

So you had the hurricane plus high seasonal rains? We've had it pretty hood here - plenty of rain but not excessive. Yesterdays cool wind dried things out pretty good for mowing the lawn. Some friends drove up to Boone and they got SNOW FLURRIES.

Yes, all that and Flash Floods too, several nearby areas were devastated by flooding, last night some spots in central PA had wet snow. I have a bad feeling about the coming Winter, we seem to be going straight past Autumn into Winter. We had rain so hard here a few days ago an Osprey get knocked to the ground in my backyard. My wife sent me out to look for the Turkey she saw fall/land. I went out saw nothing until I was right next to this 24in Raptor hiding in the fern cover. He stayed around almost an hour drying himself off and finally left, he let me get pretty close to him, when I overstepped he would spread his 6ft wings to intimidate me, it was very effective, so were his huge talons. It took me forever and a couple of snow storms to finally get the angle steel that is used as snow reinforcement/bracing for the roof installed. They help in keeping the roof purlins from twisting under a heavy snow load. The wife tired of looking at the 20ft long bundle of this steel that was laying on the edge of the driveway since summer. I`ve started using the overhead for storage of warm weather "stuff", it beats dragging it down to the basement. The lift continues to earn it`s keep and has worked out well, I now use Fluid Film to keep it lubed applied with a spraygun, sure beats the old oilcan. Paul

Thankyou Brad, the "Barn" has worked out well and is a great place to spend time in on these long dark Winter days. That Osprey encounter was extremely cool, it really let me get close to it, what a beautiful bird.

Like a lot of your stuff Paul, especially the Dekuper sign, I assume it´s for Dutch Gin. I remember many moons ago finding a green Dekuypers embossed bottle with the slogan ¨Who Dekuypers nightly takes, softly sleeps and sound awakes¨. The Dutch are great at such and in other languages too ! I was in the small market town of Ledbury in England some years ago and there was a Dutch truck selling tulip bulbs wholesale to the flower shops and on the back was ¨If it aint Dutch, it aint much ! ¨wish I was as good in Spanish ! You`ve got me there Dick, that sign came in a "lot" of liquor advertising stuff I bought years ago from a retired liquor salesman. There were hats, shirts, key chains, glasses, inflatables and some signs, I had never heard of Dekuper before, but they have a cool sign and I like that ad slogan you mentioned.

Thankyou Nuno, I am very happy with this steel barn and I do find myself spending a lot of time in it. Actually I`d love to build another one of these buildings, it was like playing with a giant Erector Set, I enjoyed it immensely.

I've got a couple of acres down here that could really benefit from one of those, Paul. Feel free to drop in anytime and put one up. ;D ;D ;D
