I have an old 15 foot Terrain King bat wing mower and am looking for a U joint for one of the wing PTO shafts. They don't make them anymore so used is the best we can do, otherwise a machine shop will have to make one up from another type U joint. No other U joint will fit without modifying as Terrain King had all their parts made just for their mowers, probably so you would have to go to them for parts at three times the cost of others. Looking for leads for any parts. PJ

I appreciate the information. I went on their web site and found that the only thing they have for this mower is blade bolts. I can get them locally. I need a TK universal joint which they don't sell. Thanks again. PJ

p.j.,
I'd give them a telephone call if I were you. They boast of their ability to "find" obscure old parts from diverse sources.

Rich, Thanks, I'll call them and see what they say. I just acquired a maintenance and parts book with old part numbers, maybe it'll help. PJ

Well, seems like there are no new U joints left for these mowers! I did find out where to get new seals to rebuild the wing lift cylinders. Seal Co. in Tulsa Ok. They also have a store in Oklahoma City. They have seals for everything imaginable! I took the upper cap from one cylinder to them and 5 minutes later I walked out with all the seals needed for a rebuild. These cylinders have been out of manufacture since 1979 and Seal Co. to my surprise had the seals! Just thought I'd mention that in case any of you have a problem getting seals of any type. PJ
