Here are a few pics of a receiver hitch I built a while back. It's a simple project that anyone can build in an afternoon. Be creative and use "scrap" metal that's just laying around. I use it to tow a few of my various trailers and it comes in pretty handy. It also has some advantages over the draw bar, like you don't have to get off the tractor to hook stuff up. I used 2-1/2"x2-1/2"x1/4" wall square hollow tube 26" long. And purchased a pre-made weld on 2" receiver tube from a local trailer supply shop. The upright tube for the top-link is 2"x2"x1/4" wall square tube 20" long The draw pins are bolted to 2"x5/8" thick flat bar 5" long. The top-link clevis ears are made from 2" x 1/2" flat bar with some short DOM bushings. Here are all the parts rigged up for welding: After welding and prior to priming & painting: All complete and painted: I use this to pull around my 16' flat bet, the 8' dump trailer, our 24' travel trailer, the 6' fire wood trailer. I also use it to mount a Hydraulic winch for various pulling jobs. Larry
