I have looked at single shank subsoilers on different sites and I am unsure if the House or KK brand middlebuster/subsoiler is heavy enough for my rocky (shale/sandstone) soil in OK. I found an exploded view (http://www.worksaver.com/Manuals/r130-ws.pdf) of a subsoiler that is listed on Ebay. It is much heavier than the House or KK. It doesn't look that hard to build. You can find it listed on Ebay as item 3320167764265. It is $659. I feel this is way too much for this simple implement. With the removeable ripper I would like to be able to remove it and attach it to an adapter for my BH. It would be good for busting roots and breaking through rock.

Hey Fella, You might look over at CTOA I think someone made one a while back. I think its a great idea. I am wanting to make a root rake that could double as a subsoiler. If you go ahead and make one please don't forget lots of pics. KIDD Hope I don't get banned for telling you to look over there.

A straight shanked subsoiler/pipe-layer was on my to-do list this week, but I didn't get that far down the list due to a broken tooth giving me grief .... I threw this together a few years ago to dig a trench for my waste water, I've used it a few times for pulling roots, stumps, and rocks but it's a bit big really ;D... I was just going to replace the monster dozer shank with something more suitable for a 35hp tractor.. I'll post some more pics next week when I start doing some work on it. Here's a BH ripper hanmey make: Pc from www.hanmey.com.auMatthew
