Today I successfully unhitched my frame mounted backhoe thanks to the picture instructions provided by Ron. Then it was onto connecting the Jinama chipper.
I used the FEL with a chain to lift & carry the chipper out of the storage container "garage" and over reasonably level but somewhat uneven dirt surface. Before I knew it, the tractor was starting to tip over sideways! Panic, Panic! It seemed like an eternity to decide what to do. Instinctively, I stepped on the clutch but to no avail, finally, I punched the the loader lever & dropped the bucket. The tractor settled upright again as soon as the 800 pound chipper hit the ground.
After getting my heart rate back down to near normal, I assessed what went wrong. 1) even though the chipper was only 1/2 foot above the ground, the full load was shifted to the top of the high bucket by the lift chain (high lifts on heavy loads is a no-no) 2) dropping a tire into a small surface hollow was enough to start a sideways motion, and 3) the right front tire only had about 12 lbs pressure; although, since the axle is center pivoted, I don't quite think this was a factor. (and yes, I did have my seat belt on)
But I digress, There is no instruction of any kind from Jinma or my dealer as to how to hook the thing up, so logic prevailed up until it was time to lower the lift arms. Again no instructions and no combination of lever juggling would get them to move. To my surprise. I could grab them with my fingertips and easily move the arms up and down.
This didn't seem right. No resistance whatever. No sounds of gear engagement or hydraulic fluid swooshing back and forth.
Any ideas??[/img]
