I need some Hydraulic hose to operate my new grapple. it needs to be 3/8 inch and a working pressure of 2,500 PSI. I would like to use screw on removable ends like Aeroquip. Does anyone know an inexpensive supplier of these items. Since I am running hose from the rear QDs I will need quite a bit of hose.
I am also looking for some adapters from my o ring face seal fittings to install american QDs.

Parry, Great news you're getting a bucket grapple. When you get it, start a new thread and post lots of pictures. I used Agri-supply hose which is about the least expensive. Just get adapters for the 3/8npt ends on it. Otherwise, Discount Hydraulics sells hose and removable/reusable hose end fittings. Rob-

i am actually looking to change out the QDs on the tractor. Wouldn't this require some form of adapter to install the standard QDs. I am not near my tractor so i cannot examine it. Are the Chinese QDs pipe thread?

Are the Chinese QDs pipe thread? You've got the Kama 554 like mine, and you're talking about the rear remote quick disconnects, right? My rear remotes are 22 x 1.5mm thread. You can get adapters from that to either 3/8npt or 1/2npt and screw an American QD onto that. I believe Chip has them in stock or he can give you the website to get them from. Here's one place that has them for the 22 x 1.2mm to NPT. Malone Specialty Inc.You need to find out whether the bulkhead is male or female. Rob-

Rob and psj12
I have a need for at least two of the male end of the original Chinese rear remotes so I can put them on other hoses. If you change yours out or have some available, let me know as I will be needing some in the near future.

if I do change my rear remotes it won't be until the spring. Are you looking for the Male QD ?

Jack, I bought several extra male Chinese QD's from Chip at Artrac. They are the 22 X 1.5mm ones. Then I got those adapter connectors from Malone to put on my 1/2NPT hose ends. I got the extras for my other implements, just like you are wanting to do. As a matter of fact, I got extra females and males since I increased my rear remotes to 3 sets when I added the hydraulic side links. You can see the Chinese ones ones here. Since we got Loretta's Jinma, all her QD's are Pioneer or equivalent. I replaced some bad ones with ones I got from Ronald at Ranch Hand and they work a lot better. But because of that I was "THINKING" of making the ones on the Kama the same as hers so we can share implements (if ever needed). But right now there is no need, so I doubt I'll be changing mine soon. Sorry, Rob-

I just found those 22 X1.5 male to 1/2 NPT adapters at Maryland Metrics (http://mdmetric.com/prod/R631/MetricConversion-steel-pg4.htm) for $8.03 each. PN R631-9235-22-08.

Thanks, I didn[t know where to get some. I'm going to contact chip and order some plus I will probably get a price on a new clutch and injector pump not that I need them now, but I don't want to get into the situation that these critical parts are not available.

I just bought all the hardware I should need from Discount Hydraulic Hose. I plan on operating it from my rear remotes. I purchased one set of Ag QDs, right angle steel pipe fittings to attach the hose to the cylinder and QDs, 50 feet of 3/8 hose and four reuseable hose ends.
I will photo document the installation and post here but that won't be till late April.

Parry, Just curious... Are your rear remote levers on the left floorboard like mine are? Is that how you plan to operate the grapple then? For grapple work that should be OK. I wish mine were a little taller because I use mine to operate the right and left hydraulic side links. So I am twisted looking over my shoulder when I use them. I might make an extension for them. Yes, they are on the left side floorboard. I was also thinking of making an extension.
The inboard one sticks in one direction due to the linkage hanging up on some metal. I use this to my advantage because that is the set I run my backhoe off of. I can put it forward and it stays there. Should it ever stop sticking I guess I will have to use some mechanical means to hold it in position.

Did anyone else have trouble with the seals coming out of place on the KM 554 quick connects? Here is my post from long ago on the topic where I replaced the washers with o-rings. I got my log splitter going - it was the first time using the hydraulic remotes. I had to order the M22x1.5M - 1/2NPTF adapters to connect my Chinese male quick connects to the 1/2" supply hoses I bought. Got them here: BRITISH/METRIC FITTINGS When I disconnected the hydraullic lines at the quick connects I noticed some trash had washed out of the splitter and lodged in the QC's. I also noticed some of the rubber seals were out of place so the fittings leaked when disconnected. I cleaned them up and tried again but the rubber seal washers still got out of place. I found some 5/8 x 3/8 x 1/8 o-rings about the same size as the original washers and replaced all 8 washers (4 male and 4 female QC's). They are now sealing good and staying in place. Maybe the washers were too loose or just caught too much flow compared to the rounded profile of the o-rings. Here is a picture of the insides (valves) from three qiuck connects. The top left valve has a new o-ring. The middle one has a washer, and the lower right one has an washer out of place like it was when I removed the assembly. You can also see a loose washer and O-ring for camparison. Some of the spring retaining clips are there too. Here are the 4 female QC's with the valves inserted but with the retaining clips removed. The male quick connects have the exact same valve assembly. Brad
