Hi Guys,
I thought I would share this. This is my first mod to the tractor and it turned out pretty well. I have the Jw-03 backhoe for my 354 and when I was using it the feet would "scratch in" and cause the feet to lose traction. It was obviously not designed for the higher frame of the 354. So I bought some flat plate and square tubing and welded these on. This works so much better, so far so good. I spent about $100 on steel and got to use my used welder I bought. I tried doing some of the welding, but I just got frustrated, so my uncle and father did most of it. Not the best looking welds but should hold. I have never seen anybody else have this problem but it was driving me crazy so I think I solved it.

Try this code. I can't get it to enlarge but it should work at least for an explanation to your mod. BACKHOE STILETTOS You generally want to generate the HTML code and then select the option for "image clickable thumbnails for message boards". BFN

Personally, I feel that stilettos were always sexier in red but the black ones screamed "hurt me"...wait...I am digressing a bit here aren't I?
Nice shoes.

I like the shoe mod better than the one I did. For sure with that dig in pattern, it's got to be more stable then the stock shoes. Nice job ! Rob-

Hey Rob,
I was wondering about yours, does it fall over if the backhoe pulls to the side?
Thanks for the compliments, it works great, if anything I should have made it even higher, but so far so good.

Hey Rob, I was wondering about yours, does it fall over if the backhoe pulls to the side? Thanks for the compliments, it works great, if anything I should have made it even higher, but so far so good. Your welcome, you did a real good job on yours ... Mine does not flip over because my tractor is so heavy it doesn't scoot much when I have the stabilizers down. ON the way down sometimes they hit a rock or clump and want to flip over, but once they are planted, they stay. What I do is not only send the stabilizers to the ground, but use the backhoe to lift up the rear of the tractor then the stabilizers again. I do that several times and higher each time. My Nardi can't lift the 554 by itself nor can the stabilizers. But doing it like that ... push down with stabilizers and backhoe alternately gets the rear end off the ground. Then I use the bucket to lift the front up off the ground and only the backhoe feet and bucket are on the ground. That gives me maximum stability and digging power. Rob-
