I'll be retiring in a few months and am looking to move to eastern OK. I have a line on several pieces of property there ranging from 20 to 80 acres at reasonable prices. I will vist there in Feb and close a deal on one of them. I already have 10 acres there with a nice barn, electric and city water. After we looked into building or installing a modular we determined we could buy an improved property with house for the same amount or less than it would cost to build.

Parry, February is right around the corner. When are you going to go?
Man Roy, I'm soooo jealous of you huge lake! Heck, your lake is almost as big as my piece of property! I just started the very initial clearing for a 1/2 acre pond at my place. Rob-

Being new to all this stuff, farm, tractor, ect. How are you going to do the pond? Are you going to build a dam that will fill, or dig down? You have any pictures of the future site?
Roy
Off to the left of the picture I have 20 acres of woods & around the rest of the lake is 20 acres of meadow. I will be looking for a used modular home or something for down there this spring.

Roy Roy, rather than take up Parry's thread, please click on this link which is all about building our Log Home: 3R Log Home and Barn ProjectIf you have time and want to check out where I live, there's the rest of the thread about our project. We live totally off grid. Rob-
