What do you think of making this a lawn ornament? A paint job & set it on a rock, it is on the back side of a pond we bought.

It would look cool as an ornament but now that you're a restoration expert you should get 'r running! I have a very vague memory of my grandfather's working pump house in WI. I remember the engine running and water pumping and all kinds of moving parts. Then I was shooed out because the place was too dangerous. I would have had to be 2 or 3. Our home place in WI had (has) a defunct pump house. All kinds of overhead shafts, gears, & flat belts to run tools off the one power source.

I did a little research. It is called a Hit & Miss engine. I know there are parts that have been robbed. I have way to many other things that are going to be priority over that kind of project, but I thought it would make a very unique lawn ornament. I did have a neighbor ask me if he could have it for scrap, must weigh a couple hundred pounds I would think. When the time comes I plan on using the pole that attaches to the 3 point to move it. I am getting prices for a small pole barn so I have a place for my rv & Franky & his attachments.
The wife & I bought 54 acres in White Plains Kentucky. No buildings no utilities. Pole barn is first project. If you have thoughts about do's & don'ts on a pole barn please express them. I am a city guy.

Hope this is the right place to post this, My good lady has said for some time that as our Lawn area is so large we ought to get a ride on Mower, well, I didn't like the price of them very much and kept putting it off, then we found and bought this cunning ride on mower with 4X4 called a Horse ! it's wonderful, it fuels it's self and produces fertilizer as it mows, and it's friendly ! and it's fun to ride ! For those with a little Spanish it's got a name ( Voy y Vuelvo ) ( bit like Arnie ) and I can't imagine how I coped without it, all that pushing and re fueling and servicing. Isn't technology wonderful ?

Very cool Dick, lot`s of luck with him, where are the pictures. You should have started a new thread about him Dick, but now I also wonder what Roy did with that old Hit and Miss motor of his from three years ago?
