Hi Guys, Been a while since I posted anything - busy, busy. I live up north where we get some of the white fluffy stuff and negative temperatures . I have an open station Jinma with canopy and was wondering about making a cab for the winter weather. Something at least to keep the bitterly cold winds at bay and the snow from blowing back. I am using the tractor to power a TPH snow blower (73") to blow snow off my driveway - about 600 yds get cleared, though the main drive is only 400 yds or so. If there is any wind and one is blowing snow - it is guaranteed to blow over the driver eventually. Has anyone made up a cab for their tractor to keep the elements at arms length? If you have, would you be willing to share your designs with others??? I am looking for any and all ideas - the cheaper the better ;D ;D. Thanks mariner

Hello Mariner, i nearly finish my home made cab, have only a few little things to do left. I take the Tractor out of the Barn today for washing and take a few pictures (first outdoor Picture after Mao's metamorphose) i use 60*30*3mm and 40*30*3mm Square tube for the Cab, Door and Rear Window made of 30*20*2mm Square tube and a lot of 25*3mm and 30*5mm Flat steel. As roof i use the original Jinma Canopy. Glass is all around laminated Glass because of the German Vehicle Regulatory (no Plexi, Lexan or similar allowed) FEL Valve now is installed inside the Cab. regards Nuno

Nuno,
Great piece of work - looks as good as the manufactured one. If I could make one half as good as yours is, I would be happy withit. Working in artic like conditions sure gets old very quickly.
Thanks for taking the time to post pictures of the work in progress.
