Never rains but it pours , fixed the fuel pump oil level with help from other members, and now this, I noticed that there was no oil pressure indicated. Stopped the Tractor and checked levels and no problem there, so started up again and the gauge went up to normal and slowly fell back to zero, I checked the sensor connection and it seems fine and started one more time but with more revs, the gauge went up to normal and fell back a little but continued to register acceptable pressure. The only thing different I can think of is that I topped up the oil a couple of days before with a good quality oil. Any ideas ?

The oil pressure is measured not in PSI but; 0 0.2 0.5 (max) does anyone know how this relates to PSI ? I changed the oil completely and fitted a new filter and now at 1500 revs on a cold start the gauge goes up to 0.5 and slowly falls back to the middle 0.2 mark. Dick

That's a reasonable pressure, Dick. These tractors run between 5-7 psig at warm idle up to 35-40 psig at full rpm. More when cold, less when really hot, of course. You can find a conversion for megaPascals to psi somewhere on the net. Based on my tractor, you're in the right range.

convertmpatopsi.com/The above link is for conversion of MP to psi 0.2MPa = 29 psi 0.5MPa = 72.5 psi. Your worries are now gone as you have latsa pressure even when the engione is warm ! Cheers mariner

Now here´s a funny thing, the oil pressure has suddenly got better, I noticed it as the Tractor got warmer, usually the pressure falls with heat but as things warmed up so the pressure increased, now it´s between 0.2 and 0.5 no matter what revs the engine is doing, perhaps the sender is duff or there is a bad connection, but blowed if I can find it !

I'd recommend you get a mechanical oil pressure gauge and plumb it in to one of the oil lines or galleries so ou know for sure that your pressures are correct, Dick. A faulty electrical gauge can give you a false sense of security and then you blow up an engine because it lied to you.
