New guy on the block. My new Nortrac 35XT is supposedly ready for the 1,100 mile trip this coming week. Glad to find the forum and I am sure I will be gleaning a lot of knowledge from you folks. I will skip the regular new guy thing of "What do you think of them?" since they already have my money. Too late for that. I would be interested in views on the different brands of scraper blades out there and the best width for a tractor that is a little over five feet wide. Work will be repairing my trashed 1,000 foot gravel drive and snow work. Also what to watch out for when taking delivery of a new tractor? Thanks.

Well, it arrived this morning and I put it to work hauling large Oak firewood rounds with the loader. My back is going to like this machine.

Liking this thing. Opened my emails last night and Northern Tool had sent one announcing their sale on Nortrac tractors. I called today and they are refunding the $1,000 difference plus sales tax.
Helps pay for the mess of implements that I have been buying for Mao Tse Tractor.

Nice tractor and good score on the discount! I'll recommend this hometown maker for a scrape blade: www.everythingattachments.com/Rear-Blade-p/eta-value-sb.htm72" is a good width. The 6-way adjustability of this model will be real handy for shaping your drive and pulling the gravel out of the ditches. It's heavier than than most value implements and nobody else makes a medium duty blade like this with the 6-way adjustments. Especially for the price. For a long drive a scrape blade does a good job of moving material over to shape the road in a continuous process. I just bought the similar landscape rake and it is another tool that does a nice job on the driveway. The blade should be better for snow.
