Hi, How do you test the glow plugs in a 254 Jinma tractor? My tractor is hard starting and I don't know if the glow plugs are working. The amp gauge no draw when I put it heat position. I have checked the fuse and it seems to be ok.
PS No need for testing, bought new ones. The old ones tested bad.

Assuming your ameter is working, it should swing to the left, (draw side) about 1/2 way , (or at least mine does).

Hook up a test light to ground then touch the light probe against the glow plug buss bar. When key is turned just before crank the light should light. To test the individual glow plugs disconnect all the glow plug connections to the buss bar, connect the test light ground clip to battery positive and then touch the test light probe to each glow plug electrical connection. The light should light on each plug. If one or more don’t light this indicates a burned out glow plug.
