This is a picture of the WR LONG solenoid diverter valve and base and also the electric switch to activate the valve. This set-up will give me a true 3rd function grapple. It allows the loader and grapple functions to move simultaneously instead of one or the other like a regular diverter valve. Of course, when flow is diverted to multiple cylinders, much like the multi-function backhoe controls, expect them to move slower than without diverting flow.
I bought all this stuff through my local Kubota/MF dealer. They did not give me any crap when they asked what tractor it was for, in fact, the guy helping was very helpful and interested in Chinese tractors. I had gone to see him after Nelson Long emailed me the part numbers to order because WR Long doesn't sell direct to peons like me, only dealers. So when the stuff came in, they only charged me $308 for all the components.
I wanted the true 3rd function because I think there might be a situation where I'd want to move the bucket AND grapples at the same time to grab stuff? This valve was only slightly more than the regular diverter valve.
This is a picture of my FEL valve. This is where I'll pick up the power beyond port and route it to the new valve. Then back again to where it (the power beyond) went originally. In my case, the power beyond goes to the hydraulics for the 3pt on the tractor. The port on the very top (pointing straight up) is the power beyond.
This loader valve sits on the opposite side of where I'll mount the new diverter valve. That's because there was more room on the left for the new valve and hoses. I will also run the new hoses along the opposite loader arm (left side) for the same reason. It gives me way more room to wrench on the new connections.
