Rob,
What great documentation on the install of your dually grapples. Even more impressive was to see them in person and be able to try them out myself first hand. Your FEL and bucket are huge! OK the new longer jaws - how are you planning on doing that? Extend them somehow? or make a complete new set? When are going to start? I just found out my Plasma cutter friend is looking for a new job and is planning on leaving the company soon. He is the only one who knows how to run the plasma cutter. The metal shop is a small Mom and Pop outfit, the Pop passed away a few years ago, only the wife is left. I've been thinking of how to work out a deal and the time where I can learn how to run it.
On a side note, I picked up Auto-cad last week ;D, so now I have the means (albeit maybe not the ability) to design and draw stuff up on my own.

Ha, yeah I read your fantastic thread about the new landscape rake project and commented in it about the CAD system and other things. About my grapples, I was thinking of adding in a length of steel to extend them. Something easy since I've got a million other projects (as you know). I would keep the front cylinder attachment where it is now. Also not sure when I'll get to it. Rob-

That looks like what would be the easiest thing to do. You could take the profile of your exist. jaws, put it in CAD and then extend the design. I would think you could cut off the ends just past the front cyl. mount and then scab on the extensions but you might need an additional cross tube to keep them from bending plus you would have to cut off the front braces/plates and add larger ones on the new tips.

Re: AutoCAD, I have about 20+ years with that program and it's variants so if you have any questions or issues, give me a ring or PM.
