This is just an FYI for all of you to check your rubber fuel lines.
The high pressure lines are metal but the low pressure lines are rubber and they don't last long. I found out the hard way when two of mine let go while I was working on the tractor. I called Afordable Tractor and replacement lines are available. I didn't have the time to wait so I replaced mine with diesel fuel grade hoses.
I had to carefully cut off the swedged fittings and hose off of both the pump and tank lines. The remaining fittings are all metal with barbs on them to hold the hoses. The hose is 3/16" I.D. and requires some carb cleaner to help with installation. Once installed and the pump and lines primed, everything was checked and it all worked perfectly.
I also had to rebuild the fuel sight bowl and valve as it was leaking like a sieve. I cleaned everything thoroughly and used replacement o-rings and washers from a Harbor Freight metric kit. Hopefully now I won't have to worry about diesel leaks.
Just one more reminder to keep checking fittings, bolts and other items on these tractors.
